Lou Reed Y Metallica (Lulu)

Ya puede escucharse en streaming el álbum ‘Lulu’, primer trabajo conjunto del cantautor neoyorquino Lou Reed y la banda de rock Metallica, una soprendente colaboración anunciada hace meses.
El disco, una obra inspirada por dos piezas teatrales del escritor expresionista alemán Frank Wedekind, estará disponible a partir del 31 de octubre en diversos formatos de doble CD, uno de ellos con un juego de pósters y otro con un libro que incluye todos los textos de Reed y una colección de fotos del grupo realizada por Anton Corbijn. El álbum consta de diez cortes con una duración que oscila entre los algo más de cuatro minutos de ‘Brandenburg Gate’ y los más de diecinueve del último, ‘Junior Dad’, aunque la tónica general es que duren entre ocho y once minutos.

En el número de Julio de la revista Guitar World se publicó la que para ellos es la lista de los 50 guitarristas más rápidos de la historia. En esta lista no hay un orden preestablecido, pero no faltan nombres de la talla de Paul Gilbert, Paco de Lucía, Al Di Meola o Jason Becker.
